Two vehicles were hit by gunshots Sunday, Suffolk County police said Monday.
Second Squad detectives are investigating the shooting, which occurred about 2:30 a.m. Two vehicles parked in a residential driveway on East 2nd Street between Fairground Avenue and Lenox Road were struck with one bullet each. The vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the shooting and no one inside the residence was injured.Second Precinct officers, Canine Unit officers, Emergency Service Unit officers, and Crime Scene Unit officers responded to the scene to assist the Second Squad detectives with the investigation.Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
