The chiefs and officers of the Halesite Fire Department were sworn in recently.
Chief Greg Colonna, and his 1st and 2nd Assistant Chief’s James Magerle and Dominic Spada were sworn in, followed by their line, rescue, and Department officers.
Rookie of the Year was awarded to James Costanzo.
Rescue Member of the Year was award to 2nd Rescue Lieutenant Lorraine Healy. The Engine Company honored their out-going Captain, Ex-Chief Mike Magerle for his leadership over the past several years, and presented him with a plaque commemorating his service to the Company.
Following the ceremony at the Harbor Club at Prime, the members and their guests enjoyed the celebration while overlooking Huntington Harbor.
