Happening in Huntington This Week

Here are a few of the events or things you should know that are happening this week in and around Huntington.

Monday Storm

Gusty winds are predicted throughout the day and early evening in Huntington and surrounding areas.  The intense East Coast storm will bring rain and heavy winds between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.Depending on the ultimate track and intensity of the system, gusts of 45 to 55 mph will be possible. DMV Hits the Road

The Department of Motor Vehicles office will open its new location at  1815 East Jericho Turnpike, Dix Hills, next to the Retro Fitness space on Monday. The office closed down its Huntington location Friday and over the weekend, workers could be seen packing up office equipment into box trucks for the move.

Giving Tuesday

Local organizations and individuals are participating in GivingTuesday, to help others by giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.  The need is especially great this year because of Covid-19. Find a local organization to support by searching the #GivingTuesday hashtag on social media.

Virtual Book Discussion

The Book Revue  and the Friends of Sagamore Hill are hosting a free virtual discussion of the book Theodore Roosevelt for the Defense on Tuesday.
