Nelson Maldonado got a hero’s sendoff from Huntington Hospital Thursday as the 500th patient discharged after Covid-19 treatment. The Central Islip resident was in Huntington Hospital for 11 days.
30,452 people have tested positive for the virus in Suffolk County; in the last 24 hours, 33 more patients have died in Suffolk County of the disease, bringing the total to 959 since crisis began.
