Accounting Instructor, Western Suffolk BOCES
Western Suffolk BOCES is hiring for an Accounting Principles Instructor to teach adult students at our Wilson Tech Dix Hills Campus. The instructor will teach all aspects of basic accounting principles and the accounting cycle of sole proprietorships, corporations, and partnerships using hands-on problems and real life experiences. The instructor will also teach basic income tax preparation as well as reconciling a checkbook to general ledger and basic financial statement preparation.
Must be in the accounting profession for 5+ years
Teaching experience preferred, but not required
Classes begin evenings in the Fall

- Unpack stock as deliveries arrive in store, maintaining a quick pace
- Provide customer service, not only on the registers but throughout the store by helping customers with questions and locating items for them
- Ensure that the entire store is clean and organized, from the parking lot, to the sales floor, to the breakroom and warehouse
- Communicate clearly with management and colleagues to complete tasks as needed
Patient Safety Associate
Under direction and supervision of Registered Nurse, provides patient supervision, maintains safety of patient and completes observation flow sheets.
Job Responsibility
- Provides patient supervision and communicates changes in patient condition to the nurse in change.
- Documents accurately on Constant Observation flow sheet.
- Interacts with patients, visitors and staff to support patient’s specific needs related to age, culture, spiritual, physical, and mental challenges.
- Provides for a safe environment for patient safety.
- Maintains safety of patient by requesting assistance from others for personal care needs of patient.
- Accompanies patients to other departments.
