Unemployment in Suffolk County in February was 6.8%, up from 6.4% in January and up from 4.1% in February 2020, the county said. The Nassau Suffolk area unemployment rate in February was 6.7%, up from 6.4% in January. The area’s unemployment rate in February 2020 was 3.9%.
In Huntington, Huntington rose to 6.4 for February, up from 6.0 in January and 3.7 in February 2020.
