Historic Estate in Lloyd Harbor Up for Auction in August

A 33-acre waterfront estate in Lloyd Harbor will go up for auction in August.

Villa Riele, listed as 32 Watch Way, was built by Edward Durell Stone, whose works include the John F.Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. This estate is billed as one of only two of residential projects by Stone.

The property includes consists of four total parcels, the principal building includes four bedrooms and five full and 1/2 baths.

Taxes are $93,600.48 a year, with more than  $78,000 going to the Cold Spring Harbor school district.

Remote bidding is available.

It is built on the grounds of the Gilbert G. Colgate estate.
