Holiday Decorating Contest Set in Huntington

The 2018 Holiday Decorating Contest  will offer bigger and better prizes than ever, the Town of Huntington has announced.

Sponsored by the Long-Islander News, the contest  finalists will be judged by Supervisor Chad Lupinacci and Councilman Mark Cuthbertson and their assistants on the evenings between Thursday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 16.  Winners will be announced in the Dec. 20 edition of the Long-Islander.

The deadline to enter is Dec.10.

Prizes have been donated by Oheka Castle Hotel & Estate; The Paramount; John W. Engeman Theater at Northport; Honu Kitchen & Cocktails, with goodie bags from Copenhagen Bakery of Northport.

“We hope to bring out the best of Huntington’s creative, festive holiday spirit with these extraordinary prizes donated by our generous sponsors,” Lupinacci said. “We’re raising the stakes for a very competitive holiday decorating contest.”

“This is our 4th year doing this contest, each year the entries get better and better so we stepped up with bigger and better prizes,” Cuthbertson said. “Game on Huntington show us your best display. Thank you to our sponsors for their generous donations.”

The 2018 Holiday Decorating Contest will focus on residential entries only, streamlining the prize categories down to a simple 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, awarding the following prizes to winners:
