Huntington Hospital Names 4 to Board

Huntington Hospital has added four members to its board of trustees.

The new members are  Katherine Heaviside, Edward Murphy, Xavier Palacios and Rachel Spencer.

Heaviside, president of Epoch 5 Public Relations, is a charter member of the Top 50 Women on Long Island Hall of Fame. In addition to now being on Huntington Hospital’s board of trustees, she is also on the board of the Long Island Association and a former board member of North Fork Bank.

Murphy is the managing director of Wells Fargo Advisors located in Melville. He is on the board of Adults and Children with Learning Disabilities and is an adviser and economic consultant for Huntington Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci and was the campaign finance
manager for Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joe Saladino.

In addition to now being on Huntington Hospital’s board, Palacios, managing partner at Palacios Law Group in Mineola, is the president of Friends of Huntington Station Latin Quarter.

He has been a managing partner since 2004.

Spencer, who owns Long Island Otolaryngology & Pediatric Airway, joined Huntington Hospital’s board after serving on the hospital’s gala committee for more than 10 years.

“We are elated to have these esteemed Huntington community members join our board of trustees,” said Gerard Brogan, Jr., MD, executive director of Huntington Hospital. “In doing so, these new board members are partnering with us at Huntington Hospital to continue to make the hospital the best health care provider in our area.”
