The Town of Huntington has specific rules on how to handle the trash resulting from someone moving in or moving out of a home in town.
The town reminds residents that up to six gallons (with a volume of less than 42 gallons) can be put out to the curb on any given collection day. That doesn’t include bulk items.
There are no exceptions for those moving in or moving out. Homeowners will have to arrange to not exceed the limit across multiple days of pickups. An owner can also arrange for a private hauler to pick up excess items that being being disposed of.
