We recently sat down with owners Liz Harnos and Karen Alm to learn more about them, their business, and why they love the community so much. It’s been an interesting year for Burr Travel: In January, Liz and Karen bought the business from the previous owner, and six weeks into their new endeavor, the world of travel was forever changed. But, Liz and Karen didn’t let a global pandemic stop them. Instead, they used the pandemic shut down to re-organize, re-strategize, and build an even stronger foundation for their business.
They spent the first two months of the pandemic working with their clients, airlines, and hotels on rescheduling or canceling trips that were planned during that time. Their staff became advocates for their clients and were successful in protecting their clients’ investment for their trips. They worked tirelessly and their dedication has paid off. With twenty five agents, Burr Travel services clients all across the world. For Burr Travel, their goal is to help celebrate their client’s occasions. They spend their time ensuring that their clients are taken care of: from the flight to the hotel and any excursion in between. Travel for them isn’t just an end to a means; no, it’s a way to celebrate life, enrich experiences, and see the world for all the beauty it offers.
