Huntington families celebrated Earth Day Saturday with demonstrations of beekeeping, water quality, paper shredding, a giveaway of saplings and more.
Sponsored by Covanta and Starflower Experiences, Town Board members Joan Cergol and Sal Ferro, the celebration also offered arts and crafts, garden planting, and face painting, and a display of wildlife, including an owl and a turtle.
Earth Day events continue Sunday with a community cleanup and celebration in Greenlawn.
