Huntington Heads to the Beaches to Celebrate the Fourth

Beaches in Huntington were busy Saturday as residents looked for ways to  celebrate the Fourth of July.

With distancing rules in place, town public safety officers stopped some cars from entering until enough other beachgoers had left. Early Saturday noon, a short line of cars waited for just a few minutes at the entrance of Centerport Beach before being waved in as parking spots were freed up.

Temperatures are expected to hit the high 80s Sunday.
