Huntington Hospital Raises $550K at 2018 Golf Classic

Huntington Hospital raised $550,000 at this year’s Golf Classic, which will go to advance the hospital’s wound care, interventional radiology and concussion programs.

More than 350 people turned out at Piping Rock Club and The Creek Club, both in Locust Valley, for golf, dinner and a live auction, including items such as a flight down the Hudson River from Nassau Flyers and tickets to New York Jets and Giants games.

Huntington native Douglas Partrick of Heatherwood Luxury Rentals was this year’s honoree at the Sept. 5 outing. Heatherwood Luxury Rentals is a multifamily housing company with properties on Long Island and in New York City that has been in business for more than 60 years.

Partrick was born and raised in Huntington just blocks from the hospital and still lives in this community. His ties to Huntington Hospital began with his mother, Virginia, a longtime volunteer who also served on the hospital’s board of trustees.

“We appreciate Mr. Partrick’s advocacy and generous donations as well as all of our participants and organizers for making this year’s Golf Classic another successful event,” said Gerard X. Brogan Jr., M.D., executive director of Huntington Hospital. “This funding will go far in advancing our efforts in wound care and interventional radiology as well as providing top-notch concussion care to our community members.”
