Huntington Hospital has been rated as one of the top hospitals in New York State for the third straight year by US News & World Report.
It is ranked the 16th best hospital in the New York metropolitan area and 20th in New York State, according to US News & World Report’s newly released 2018-19 Best Hospitals rankings and ratings.
The analysis includes 16 clinical specialties, as well as nine procedures and conditions. Scores are based on a range of factors, including patient outcomes and care-related factors such as patient safety and staffing. Hospitals that are not nationally ranked in a specialty but have a score that puts them in the top 10 percent of medical centers analyzed by US News are recognized as “high performing.”
Huntington Hospital is ranked as a high performer in the following areas: heart failure, colon cancer surgery, hip replacements and gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery.
