The long-rumored closing of the Kmart store in Huntington has been confirmed, as Sears Holdings continues to slash the number of stores throughout the United States.
The company announced last week that the New York Avenue store will close by February.
Several workers at other stores in the center at 839 New York Ave., formerly known as the Big H Center, had expressed concern in recent months when the Outback Steakhouse closed with little warning at the end of August.
