Huntington League of Women Voters to Host 12th District Candidates Night

The League of Women Voters will host a debate April 14 for candidates in the 12th Assembly District.

The Meet the Candidates night is co-sponsored by the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce. 

It is scheduled to run from 7-9 p.m. at  Harborfields Public Library, 31 Broadway, Greenlawn. All candidates who will be on the ballot are invited to participate. Attendees wishing to ask questions may submit them in writing, only on cards supplied at the event.

The Assembly seat is vacant after Andrew Raia resigned after his election as Huntington town clerk. Gov. Cuomo set the special election to fill the spot for April 28, which is the same day as the presidential primary in New York State. Republican Keith Brown and Democrat Michael Marcantonio will compete.
