The Huntington Public Library and town officials have honored Dee Thompson for her work in securing the space occupied by the Huntington Station branch.
Board of Trustees President Kimberly Hawkins and Library Director Joanne Adam presented Thompson a plaque for working to establish the branch in the building at 1335 New York Ave., and ensuring it could stay there.
She was also recognized by Huntington Town Council members for her devotion to the Huntington Station community.
