Huntington Man Accused of Menacing

A Huntington man is facing charges after a dispute with another man in Manorville.

The Suffolk County sheriff’s office said that two of their men, Correction Sgt. Kenny Selg and Correction Office Robert Ragonese, came across a disturbance Monday outside an LI Urgent Care office as they were escorting a sick officer for care.

They reported seeing two men on the sidewalk having a dispute, with one man shouting that the other had a knife and asked for help. The second man, identified as Reginald Cadett, 31, of Huntington, put his hand in his pocket and walked away, the officers said, but then stopped and threatened to stab and cut them. Suffolk Police responded and arrested him as he moved around the building, trailed by the two correction officers.

Cadett was charged with menacing 2nd degree and released. He is due in court Dec. 10.
