Huntington Man Accused of Multiple Burglaries

A Huntington man was arrested Tuesday and charged with committing several burglaries.

Suffolk County Police responded to a report of a suspicious man on Glenna Little Trail and spotted Scott Hlenski, who police said had drugs on him.

After investigation, police said, they charged Hlenski with several burglaries:

A residence on Lovers Lane, Huntington, on Aug. 10.
Village Touch Free Car Wash, located at 139 New York Ave., Huntington, on Sept. 4.
A residence on Titus Lane, Cold Spring Harbor, on Sept 18.
A residence on Goose Hill Road, Cold Spring Harbor, on Sept. 24.

Hlenski, 39, of  Huntington was charged with three counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, one count of Burglary 3rd Degree, Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

Hlenski was held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip .Wednesday.
