Huntington’s Movies on the Lawn is expanding and engaging residents to help determine the films that round out the schedule.
Scheduled are:
- Monday, July 13, 2020 Frozen 2
- Monday, July 20, 2020 Huntington residents’ choice
- Monday, July 27, 2020 Star Wars, The Rise of Skywalker
- Monday, August 3, 2020 Toy Story 4
- Monday, August 10, 2020 Huntington residents’ choice
- Monday, August 27, 2020 Jumanji: The Next Level
“This year, we thought it would be fun to have the residents choose what movies they would like to see,” said Councilman Mark Cuthbertson.

The nine movies to choose from are:
- Jaws
- Field of Dreams
- The Lion King
- Dirty Dancing
- ET
- Yesterday
- Grease
- Cars
- Back to the Future
The winners will be announced June 5.
“When we got the directive from New York State, we quickly decided to add two (2) more movies to our summer lineup,” Cuthbertson said. “We also added a food drive to help our community put food on the table; we ask that movie goers bring non-perishable items on movie nights to donate to our local food pantries.”
This year all movies will be shown on Monday nights at Crab Meadow beach with rain dates scheduled on Wednesdays.
