Huntington Musician Arranging Concerts to Aid Ukrainians

A Huntington resident is organizing concerts in New York City to support the displaced Ukrainian children and their families.

Evelyn Ulex, who is president of the Associated Music Teachers League, is working with the young musicians who will perform two Children Helping Children concerts Sunday in the sanctuary of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism. The students, who are preparing for studies at Juilliard, Mannes, Curtis and other institutions, will play at 3 and 5 p.m.

There are two ways to support the effort:

  •  A donation of any amount through AMTL’s Save the Children’s Ukrainian Children Rescue Fund
  •  Purchase tickets to watch live streamed on Zoom, or in person (Limited Seating!) at the Society for the Advancement of Judaism (SAJ) Sanctuary on 15 West 86th St., New York City.
