An attempt to reshuffle Town of Huntington personnel by amending the operating budget failed at last week’s Town Board meeting.
Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci offered a resolution to create several new positions while abolishing several others but members of the Town Board sat silent and the resolution died.
His resolution would have created the following positions in various offices:
- Office assistant (town clerk) $21,161
- executive assistant (town attorney) $53,882
- maintenance mechanic III (general services) $44,971
- tree trimmer (general services) $43,342
- auto mechanic II (general services) $44,971
- office assistant (public safety) $21,161
- Senior office assistant (town clerk) $24,294
- Labor crew leader IV (highway) $55,011
The resolution also attempted to abolish these positions:
- Senior office assistant (town clerk) $24,294
- Deputy director (general services) $52,692
- Maintenance mechanic II (general services) $41,750)
- groundskeeper III (general services) ($52,984)
- auto mechanic II (general services) $43,342)
- Building inspector (Engineering services) $43,123
- Office assistant (Town clerk) $21,161
