Huntington Students Earn College Degrees

Bates College graduated 463 students from 37 states and 52 countries on May 31, 2020. Cumulatively, the Class of 2020 performed 80,000 hours of community service, exemplifying Bates’ commitment to community learning and civic action.

Jack Walsh of Huntington graduated after majoring in economics and minoring in mathematics. Walsh, the child of Mark Walsh and Caryl S. Walsh of Huntington,  is a 2016 graduate of Harborfields High School.

Walsh was inducted into the Bates Scholar-Athlete Society, an organization which honors graduating seniors who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or have received special nomination from the faculty for outstanding academic achievement in their junior and senior years, and who have participated in a varsity sport for a minimum of three years..

Alexander Hall of Northport graduated after majoring in politics and minoring in history. Hall, the child of Dwight A. Hall and Carla Natalucci-Hall of Northport, is a 2016 graduate of Long Island Lutheran Middle-High School.

Adelphi University

Adelphi University conferred more than 1,153 undergraduate degrees at the conclusion of its spring 2020 semester, including those who completed degree requirements in December 2019 and May 2020.

Emerson College

Emerson College awarded 959 undergraduate degrees for the Class of 2020. The College is committed to holding a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 in person when it is safe to do so, at a to be determined date.

Brianne Neira of Huntington, NY (11743) graduated in August 2020 and received a BFA degree in Media Arts Production.

The College launched an Emerson 2020 Celebration website to honor graduates’ achievements with more than 800 submissions from students, families, alumni, faculty, and staff, which includes photos, videos, audio submissions, and text.
