Huntington to Commemorate Those Lost on Sept. 11

The Town of Huntington will commemorate the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks Saturday at Heckscher Park.

Huntington Supervisor Ed Smyth, town officials and the Huntington Veterans Advisory Board will gather at the 9/11 Memorial at noon to remember residents who were killed in the terror attacks.

The Huntington Manor Fire Department raised a large American flag at Walt Whitman High School in honor of those lost.

On Sunday, the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department will host a candlelight vigil at Cold Spring Harbor Firemen’s Park.
