Businesses in Huntington began opening Wednesday. Hair salons, restaurants that had been limited to takeout or delivery and retail stores welcomed customers to the downtown. Several restaurants had outdoor dining, while retail stores posted signs festooned with balloons to let passersby know they were open after the long shutdown caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.
