Runners ranging in age from 4 to 75 sprinted Sunday from the Big H Center up New York Avenue to West Carver Street in the inaugural Huntington’s Fastest Mile.
The event was sponsored by the Entrepreneurial Institute Foundation and the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce.
Sharif Jarvis, 23, of Huntington Station, was the top male finisher; Melanie Fiume, 23, of Plainview was the top female runner.
