Huntington’s Summer Movies Expand to Mall

Registration starts Wednesday for Huntington’s drive-in summer movie series.

While two of the six movies will be shown at Crab Meadow, the Walt Whitman Shops will host four, allowing for more viewers.

To ensure proper social distancing, tickets will be required to enter the  parking lot. The sign up for each movie will open at  noon on the Wednesday before each movie for Town of Huntington residents only

Tickets are free to town residents.Movie-goers are asked to bring nonperishable food items for local food banks. A representative from one of Huntington’s food banks will be on site to collect the donations as you enter the drive-in parking lot

Tickets must be printed out and presented at the gate for entrance. Masks must be worn as you enter the gate and in all public areas.

You must remain in your car during the movie. All movies will be shown on a 40 foot screen, easily seen from all parking spots. The movie will be broadcast on an FM radio frequency so you can comfortably watch the movie from inside your car.

All movies will be shown on Monday nights at 8:30 p.m., starting on July 13 and will run every Monday night through Aug. 17. All rain dates will be on Wednesdays.

Town of Huntington residents only, please go to www.huntingtonny.gov/movies2020 for tickets. The number of tickets is limited, and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and are limited to one ticket per household.
