More than 500 students are expected to compete Sunday in the Long Island Regional Jew-Q Championship at the Chai Center in Dix Hills.
Students ages 9-13, from 16 schools in the area, will be tested on their knowledge of Jewish history, heritage and practice. Participants will compete to win a place onstage at the JewQ International Finale in New York City.
The competition will last from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
