The award has been given to five high school students who will receive $3,500 scholarships to continue their education in the arts. To date, Friends of OHEKA have raised over $175,000 through their only fundraiser, the annual garden party.

On June 12, the Friends of OHEKA Garden Party, a Centennial celebration, will host the five honorees; Jaycee Cardoso, Walt Whitman High School, John DiGiorgio III, Half Hollow Hills High School West, Peter G. Mainetti, Northport High School, Reyha Mete, Walt Whitman High School, and Elisabeth Shim, Cold Spring Harbor High School.

This year’s Humanitarian Award honorees are Steven and Paul Gentile from Adventureland in Farmingdale.

Tickets for the garden party are available online and will include a buffet dinner, hors d’oeuvres, wine, dessert, entertainment, valet parking and a raffle. Participants are welcome to dress in Gatsby style clothing while visiting the Gold Coast mansion.
