What: Summer Art Adventure, Session 1: “Fantastical Art Beasts”
Where: Art League of Long Island
When: July 8th-12th
Cost: Ages 5-6 $240, Ages 7-10 $470, Ages 11-14 $925
About: Paint, sculpt, and illustrate a world of mythological animals, people and mystical places. Imagine what fantastical beasts lie beyond that door in the tree trunk. What does your world look like? Study the dragon installation at Caerphilly Castle, Wales, and California artist, Devin Elle Kurtz’s digital paintings of magical animals. Dress for a “Unicorn” party on July 10th.

Cost: Session 1 (3 weeks) (3 weeks) $652.50 w/Recreation ID card, $855 w/o Recreation ID card.
About: Grades 1-8 (as of September 2019) A full-day camp program on the beautiful Dix Hills Park grounds. The
program includes a variety of activities, such as swim instruction, recreational swim, ice skating, arts and crafts, sports, group games. Limited enrollment. Medical forms are required and must be submitted one
month prior to session.

What: Passport to the Past Summer Camp Program
Where: Huntington Historical Society
When: Session 1, July 8th-July 19th
Cost: $300 for members/$400 non-members
About: Looking for a unique, non-competitive summer camp for your children ages 7 to 12 where they can experience history hands-on? The Huntington Historical Society offers its camp, Passport to the Past, each summer to bring history to life.
Campers will be able to wear colonial costumes, play original colonial games, tour historical sites, handle various historical artifacts that typically are viewed only behind glass displays in museums, and enjoy hands-on colonial-era activities

What: Summer Workshop For Kids, Drop-In Art for Ages 5-10
Where: The Heckscher Museum of Art
When: July 12th, 10:30am-11:30am
Cost: $5per child, accompanying adult fee
About: Each day, children will either paint at an inspiring location in Heckscher Park (weather permitting) or draw, collage, or sculpt in the galleries. Participants will be encouraged to look carefully at the world around them while experimenting with new and exciting materials and techniques! Parent/caretakers are welcome, but not required.
