Lahey Elementary School Goes Remote After Student’s Positive Covid-19 Test

Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School in the Harborfields school district switched to remote learning Wednesday after a student had a positive Covid-19 test.

Dr. Francesco Ianni, district superintendent, said that going remote for the day would allow the Suffolk County Health Department to conduct contract tracing.

“We will continue to communicate as circumstances warrant,” Ianni told parents and staff.

It was the second positive test reported in the district. The high school went remote Monday and Tuesday after a student had tested positive.
