Libraries Step Up With 3-D Printers to Make Face Shields

Dozens of local libraries are contributing their 3-d printers to produce face shields for medical workers during the Covid-19 crisis.

Huntington, South Huntington, Commack, Half Hollow Hills Community and another 40 or so libraries sent their machines to the Suffolk Cooperative Library System.

The South Huntington Public Library wrote, “We’re proud to be joining public libraries across Suffolk County to 3D print face shields for our health care workers. Together, we’ve assembled a “print farm” over 60 printers strong! We’re all in this together!”
