It also has periodicals, special reference books and describes its special collection as,  “Holdings range from a rare 15th century incunabulum, Commentary of St. Thomas Aquinas on the Epistles of St. Paul, to first editions of 20th century authors such as Thomas Merton and Joyce Kilmer.”

The seminary opened in 1930 and closed in 2012, with the training of priests merging with other programs elsewhere. It continues to provide education and hosts retreats and conferences.
