Library Closes Because of Covid-19 Exposure

The South Huntington Public Library will remain closed until Jan. 25 because of a Covid-19 exposure.

The building closed Thursday evening and will undergo a deep cleaning and sanitizing, the library said. “Because of the Library’s strict safety protocols, risk of exposure to patrons is minimal,” it said.

Patrons who signed up for Grab & Go or Take & Make kits can pick them up when the library reopens Jan. 25 at 9 a.m.

The library invited patrons to continue visiting its website for updates and to access online services.

Library patrons are asked not to leave items in the book drop. No late fines will be levied.
