Library to Turn the Page on Its Food Offerings

Vending machines will check out of the South Huntington Public Library soon, to be replaced by more nutritious food choices.

The library recently said the new micro-market in the lower level will have snacks, meals and hot and cold drinks. Patrons can pay for their food choices at a kiosk that accepts credit and debit cards, as well as an app that accepts payments with a cellphone.

Food can be consumed in the gallery, or when the weather improves, outside in the garden.
