After a one-year absence, the Huntington Lighthouse Musicfest is back on.
The Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society announced on Facebook that the musical performance is scheduled for Sept. 5. The festival bills itself as the only music festival held on top of a lighthouse.
The festival was called off last year after a dispute broke out between the town and organizers over fees and regulations.
In the past, the event has drawn more than 1,000 boaters who come out and surround the offshore lighthouse for a day of music during the Labor Day weekend. Boaters come from around the tri-state area and beyond to enjoy the festivities.
