LIRR Delays on Port Jeff and Other Lines

The Long Island Rail Road said delays of about 45 minutes are occurring on several lines this morning because of signal problems near the New Hyde Park station.

The railroad said the delays were not a result of a substation fire Tuesday night during the thunderstorm but rather related to a PSEG outage.

The railroad halted service Tuesday night on three lines because of the substation fire.
