The Long Island Rail Road will provide additional eastbound service from Penn Station on Tuesday for customers getting an early start on Independence Day.
Eight additional trains depart Penn Station between 1:42PM and 3:48PM. There will be four additional trains on the Babylon Branch, three extra trains to Hicksville and Huntington, and one extra train to Far Rockaway.
The extra afternoon departures from Penn Station on the Port Jefferson line are:
- 2:08PM stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, then all stops to Huntington
- 2:26PM stopping at Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Jamaica, New Hyde Park, then all stops to Huntington
- 3:24PM stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, Westbury and Hicksville
Other lines are adding trains as well.
