Local Students Graduate From College

Local students are graduating from college this spring, including:

Clemson University

Jessica Lynn Danielo of Dix Hills, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences

Christopher James Gabriele of Cold Spring Harbor, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management

Connor John Gols of Huntington, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management

Thomas J. Hustedt of Huntington Station, who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Grace A. McGlynn of Northport, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing

Clemson awarded more than 3,600 degrees in the ceremonies at Littlejohn Coliseum.

University of New Hampshire

The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2019. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Students are only graduated after the Registrar’s Office has certified that all degree requirements have been successfully completed. Participating in the commencement ceremony is the act of honoring and celebrating academic achievement.

Kelly Montera of Commack, NY graduated with a BA degree in Sociology

Hailey Giordano of Halesite, NY graduated with a BA degree in Cmn:Business Applications

Jack Kenny of Dix Hills, NY graduated with a BS degree in BusAdm:Marketing

Bucknell University

Bucknell University presented degrees to nearly 900 graduates at Commencement on May 19.

Charles Beers of Huntington, NY earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science.

Campbell Bereck of Northport, NY earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Mike Bernardini of Huntington, NY earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Scott Gulizio of Huntington, NY earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior.

Michaela Mincone of Huntington Station, NY earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior.

Rebecca Vetere of Huntington, NY earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Clarkson  University

Benjamin J Jackson of Cold Spring Harbor received a bachelor of science degree with distinction in global supply chain management, project management minor from Clarkson University in May.

The ceremonies included several awards and a surprise guest speaker, NY Sen. Chuck Schumer.

As a private, national research university, Clarkson is a leader in technological education and sustainable economic development through teaching, scholarship, research and innovation.

Gettysburg College

Two local students graduated at Gettysburg College’s184th Commencement ceremony.

Shannon Gaffney of Huntington graduated with a BA degree.

Todd Sammis of Huntington graduated with a BA degree.

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition. Alumni include Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate, and other distinguished scholars.
