Local Students Named to College Deans’ Lists

Clarkson University

Alif Bin Jakir of Dix Hills, majoring in financial information and analysis, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2019 semester at Clarkson University.

Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Springfield College

Springfield College has named Michael Conneely from Huntington Station to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2019 term. Conneely is studying Exploratory Studies.

Criteria for selection to the dean’s list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.

Springfield College is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational institution founded in 1885. 

University of Vermont

To be named to the dean’s list at the University of Vermont, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school. Bucknell University

Bucknell University has released the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition.

SUNY Potsdam

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 322 students who excelled academically in the Fall 2019 semester to the College’s Dean‘s List.

The students included:

  • David Matos of Huntington, whose major is Exploratory/Undeclared
  • Alexandra Wasser of Dix Hills,  whose major is Psychology

To achieve the Dean‘s List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.49 in the given semester.

 

Bloomsburg University

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania named more than 1,900 students  to the Fall 2019 Dean’s List.

A full-time student whose semester GPA is 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of course work for which a grade or grades are received will be named to the Dean’s List.

The following students achieved the Dean‘s List at Belmont University for the Fall 2019 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Hudson Valley Community College

Niamat Naeemi of Huntington Station was named to the Fall 2019 Dean’s List at Hudson Valley Community College.

She is studying in the non-matriculated academic program at the Troy, NY college.

SUNY Canton

Students are being recognized for earning Dean’s List honors during the fall 2019 semester at SUNY Canton.

“On behalf of the college’s deans, I congratulate all of our honor students for their exceptional commitment to their SUNY Canton education,” said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran. “This achievement serves as a milestone on their successful journey through college.”

Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who have earned a GPA between 3.25 and 3.74. All honors are a mark of distinction and recognition of outstanding academic efforts and scholarship.

Students who earned Dean’s List honors include:
