Long Island Fall Festival Kicks Off Friday

Huntington’s long-running Long Island Fall Festival gets underway Friday night and runs through Columbus Day weekend, filling Heckscher Park with music, food, a carnival, and numerous other activities.
Sponsored by the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Huntington, the festival is billed as the largest in the Northeast, and draws thousands of people from the tri-state area and beyond.
The carnival opens the festival Friday at 5 p.m.

Truly a celebration of community spirit, this weekend event offers something for everyone. Attractions include: four stages of entertainment, a world-class carnival, hundreds of arts and craft vendors, international food courts, beer and wine tent, a farmer’s market, and numerous activities designed especially for young children.

Underwritten by corporate sponsorships, admission to the public is free. Along with street parking, the public  can take a shuttle bus from the Huntington LIRR for $1 round trip.
