Suffolk County Police Saturday arrested a Lyft driver they said had been driving with 17 license suspensions.
Leith Crossen was in a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta on Woodbury Road near Cold Spring Harbor train station when a Second Precinct officer, responding to a 911 call of a possible intoxicated driver, discovered him stopped in his car.
Crossen, who was not intoxicated, had just dropped off a passenger and had run out of gas. A check of Crossen’s driver’s license revealed it had been suspended 17 times, police said. Crossen, 57, of Cherry Hill, N.J. was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 1st degree, a felony.
