A man was killed early Thursday morning when his car struck a box truck parked on the shoulder of Ruland Road, Suffolk County police said.
Steven Zaug, 35, of Massapequa Park was driving north on Route 110 at 4:03 a.m. when his vehicle struck the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Melville early this morning.
The driver of the box truck, Guillermo Moran, 39, of Medford, was not injured.
Motor Carrier Safety Section officers inspected the box truck at the scene. Zaug’s vehicle was impounded for a safety check. D
