Man Accused of Firing Gun on Elm Street

A Huntington Station man was arrested Friday morning and accused of firing a gun into the air on Elm Street.

Second Precinct officers responded to a report of a gunshot about 1:15 a.m. and found Tyshon Parker on Fairview Street with a loaded .380 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun.

Police said he had fired a gun into the air during a dispute with several people and then fled. There were no injuries.

Parker was arrested and charged with prohibited use of a weapon and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Parker, 24, of Huntington Station, is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip Friday.
