Man Accused of Sexual Misconduct With Dog in Melville

A Farmingdale man was accused this week of committing sexual msiconduct with a dog in Melville, detectives with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said Thursday.
 Vincent Persico, 64,  was charged with one count of animal cruelty and one count of sexual misconduct with a dog. The incident occurred Sept. 13 in Melville.
SPCA detectives tracked Persico to a home in Copiague where he was arrested and taken to the Suffolk County Police Department 1st Precinct.
Persico was released on bail and is scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on Nov. 27. He is listed as a Level 2 sex offender on the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services sex offender registry website.
