Man Arrested in Gas Station Holdup

Suffolk County Police   charged a man Saturday night in the armed robbery of a Huntington Station gas station.

Police said Jesse Huber entered the BP gas station, at 272 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station, on Saturday at about 1:30 p.m. Huber pulled a handgun and demanded cash from an employee at the counter. The employee complied and Huber fled the scene.

Following an investigation by Second Squad detectives, Huber was arrested at the Commack Motor Inn, located at 2231 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, at about 10:40 p.m.

Huber, 40, of 648 Northville Turnpike, Riverhead, was charged with first-degree robbery.  He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
