Updated: Man Arrested in Pharmacy Robbery

Suffolk County Police arrested a man Wednesday on charges of  robbing an East Northport pharmacy earlier this week.

The Major Case Unit detectives arrested Eduardo Martinez for robbing the Stop & Shop, located at 454 Fort Salonga Road, on Nov. 22. Martinez, 33, of West Palm Beach, Fla., was charged with robbery 3rd degree, and false personation.

Martinez was held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.

A man robbed a pharmacy in East Northport Monday afternoon, presenting a note claiming he had a weapon and demanding a prescription medication, Suffolk County police said.

The employee at the pharmacy inside Stop & Shop at 454 Fort Salonga Road complied, gave the man the medication. The man fled the store about 12:30 p.m.

He was wearing a black baseball hat, dark colored shirt, jeans and white sneakers.
