Man Wanted in North Carolina Killing Arrested in Huntington Station

A man wanted in a fatal shooting in North Carolina was arrested Friday in Huntington Station, the Fayetteville Observer reported Tuesday.

U.S. Marshals arrested Donavin Levon Boomer, 25, police said.

Two people were shot May 15 in an apartment in Fayetteville, the paper reported. Giovanni Griffin, 26, died at the hospital, while a 25-year-old woman was wounded.

He was arraigned in Kings County Criminal Court on charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon.

The paper said he was expected to be extradited soon. No further details were immediately available.
