Marathons to Support Veterans to Return to Huntington

The first of seven marathons in seven days to support veterans causes will kick off June 6 in Huntington.

Marathoner Eva L. Casale will lead Team E.V.A (Every Veteran Appreciated), with opening ceremonies at the Elks Club in Huntington. The first day’s race is dedicated to Gold Star families, and will go through Huntington, Centerport and Commack, finishing in Northport, including stops at the Northport VA medical center.  Casale and other runners will make stops along the way at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial, the Commack Fire House, as well as several other memorials along the way.

Days two through seven, Casale will run courses in towns across Long Island, finishing June 12 in Westhampton Beach.

The seven-day series started off in Huntington in 2018, continuing in 2019 before skipping a year because of the epidemic
